Ukraine, faith, loss, and the work that continues.

THE FILM

In Ukraine, faith is measured in what people do next: bury the dead, feed the living, rebuild what was hit, forgive what feels unforgivable, and take one more step.

Filmed in Ukraine in 2026, Wheat & Sky begins with Gennadiy Mokhnenko's conviction that the church must be “inside the problem.” From Pilgrim to Mariupol to Kyiv, that idea is tested by people who have lost homes, friends, electricity, and any illusion of safety—and who keep serving anyway. The film ends where they live: not with an answer, but with smoke still rising from the stacks after another attack.
